Reverend Trent McEntyre

Originally from Dunwoody, Trent McEntyre attended Auburn University and later served as a missionary in Croatia. Via a two-year stopover in Athens, Trent and his wife Emily returned to Atlanta to serve college students at several metro campuses including Georgia Tech, Agnes Scott, Kennesaw State, and Georgia State. Trent and Emily lived ITP for eighteen years, welcoming three daughters along the way. In 2010, Trent became an ordained minister and began a transition to church planting ministry.

In the spring of 2016, unable to resist the call back to his “hometown,” Trent connected with a small group that was interested in starting a new church in Dunwoody. Trent and the group realized immediately that they shared a vision to know God more and love people well.

The DPC core group was officially commissioned as a church plant in the Fall of 2016. During the past few years, Trent and the DPC launch team have been connecting with people in the Dunwoody community who would share a passion for a local, relational, spiritually connected church family.

Trent is dedicated to his wife, Emily, his three amazing daughters, his parents, family, friends, and many amazing mentors across the world and in Dunwoody. On the side, Trent is a classic rock guitar player, an enthusiastic outdoorsman, and a semi-handy diy guy.
